Stock Balance Report
Use the Stock Balance report to review the quantity and value of stock for a selected date range. You can review totals by item and warehouse, or split the results by inventory dimensions such as Warehouse Bin.
Before you start
Make sure that:
You have access to the Stock Balance report.
The correct company, items, warehouses, and dates are available.
Stock transactions for the period are submitted.
Warehouse bins are set up if you need bin-level results.
The report is read-only. It does not change stock quantities or values.
Open the Stock Balance report
Open the Stock workspace.
Select Stock Balance.
Confirm the company and report dates.
Set the report scope
Use the filters to limit the report to the stock that you want to review.
Filter | Use |
|---|---|
Company | Select the company that owns the stock. |
From Date | Set the start of the movement period. |
To Date | Set the date for the closing balance. |

Include Zero Stock Items | Include items that have a zero balance. |
Show Dimension Wise Stock | Split the results by configured inventory dimensions. This also shows dimension filters such as Warehouse Bin. |
Select Generate New Report. When a prepared result already exists, select Rebuild to refresh it.
Stock Balance report with filters and result columns

Balance Value is reasonable for the quantity and valuation rate.
The warehouse and item filters match the business question.
Negative quantities or values have a valid reason.
Review stock by warehouse bin
Use dimension-wise results when warehouse bin management is active.
Select Show Dimension Wise Stock.
If required, select a value in Warehouse Bin.
Select Generate New Report.
Review the Warehouse Bin column beside Warehouse.
Stock Balance report with Warehouse Bin filters and results
The report creates a separate result for each inventory dimension combination. For example, the same item and warehouse can appear on more than one row when stock is held in different bins.
A blank Warehouse Bin value means that the related stock ledger balance does not have a bin value. This can include stock that existed before bin tracking was used or stock that has not yet been allocated to a bin.
The report helps you find a difference. It does not correct bin quantities. Use the relevant stock or bin movement process to correct the source transaction.

Confirmation checks
Before you use the report for a decision, confirm that:
The Company, From Date, and To Date are correct.
The item and warehouse filters do not exclude required stock.
The report was generated after the latest stock transactions were submitted.
Dimension-wise results are active when you need warehouse-bin information.
Any negative, blank-bin, or unusual valuation result has been investigated.
Troubleshooting
Warehouse Bin is not shown
Select Show Dimension Wise Stock. The Warehouse Bin filter and column appear only in the dimension-wise view when the dimension is configured.
Warehouse Bin is blank
The stock balance has no bin value. Review recent bin movements and use the bin allocation process for unallocated stock.
The report does not show recent transactions
Confirm that the transactions are submitted. Then select Rebuild, or change the filters and select Generate New Report.
A quantity does not agree with the expected balance
Check the date, item, warehouse, and dimension filters. Then select View Stock Ledger and review the detailed incoming and outgoing entries.
The report takes a long time
Use a shorter date range or select specific items and warehouses. Generate a broader report only when you need the full stock position.
